Shira Kirsh, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech Language Pathologist
Shira graduated from Boston University with a MS in Speech Language Pathology. She has worked in rehab and acute care hospitals in the Boston area and at Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune. She has been in private practice since 2005. Throughout her career, she has worked with children and adults with a variety of communication and swallowing disorders.
She currently evaluates and treats individuals with developmental disorders, voice disorders, stuttering, articulation, language and auditory processing and orofacial myofunctional disorders as well as sensory and motor swallowing disorders. Additionally, she enjoys working with motivated adults on foreign accent modification and transgender voice & communication .
Shira has sat in on Transgender support groups to learn about what communication issues are important to people. She has been a member of Jersey Shore chapter of PFLAG. She serves as the VP of Education at Shore Speakers Toastmasters Club, where individuals enjoy honing their public speaking skills.
